Concept To Completion

1. Outline Brief

A project brief is formalised by understanding initial requirements and aspirations and developing them in the early stages of job analysis, when the successes and failures of current work habits are identified from job analysis and initial client interviews.

2. Design & Costing

Only after evaluating building services and architecture does Quercus move on to space planning and conceptual design to ensure proposals are feasible and meet building code requirements. 2D room plans, 3D visualisations (if required), finishes and furniture selection help you visualise the concept. We provide you with a cost calculation and schedule so you can make informed decisions at this early stage.

3. Appointment Of Quercus

We then develop the design and coordinate the mechanical and electrical construction to provide a firm detailed cost estimate and construction programme. This information package will enable you to make an informed decision, place the order, and enter into a JCT Design & Build contract.

4. Detail Design

Once commissioned, Quercus prepares and develops construction drawings for the lessor's approval for modification. Additionally, plans and samples are reviewed for your final approval before we begin work on site.

5. Construction & Handover

Project Managers manage the project on site and hold regular meetings with subcontractors to ensure that all elements of the work are coordinated, the programme is adhered to, and there is continuous quality control and inspection that is performed throughout the construction phase. They will also carry out all necessary health and safety checks and liaise with the Building Control Authority and HSE to ensure all elements of the works meet workplace standards and regulations. Regular client meetings will be scheduled to update you on the progress of the work, so you can see the project develop. With only one point of contact, you can continue with your normal business operations and have the peace of mind that your project is in safe hands.

6. Support & Aftercare

Upon practical completion and handover to the customer, you will receive operations and maintenance files and as-built drawings, as well as ongoing support for all future requirements and maintenance.
